Husband

 

Husband. This word and the love and commitment behind it has shown me Gods elaborate love for us in a whole new light. You may just see a man hanging a picture, but I see my best friend going out of his way just to make me happy and make our home just a little more homey. I see a man who serves and who makes me feel loved just by a look my way. I see a man who drops anything for me even if it's just to give me a hug cause he can tell that I need one. When I was little, I prayed my prince prayers every night, I promised when God blessed me with the man He had for me that I would submit to my husband, that I would uplift him daily, that I would keep my eyes intentionally open for all of things he would do for me, and that I would love him with an intense love that would only be possible with Christ. Looking back on those prayers, now being in a marriage, I see that through the love we share for each other it shows what God exactly intended for us. I now see His plan and reason behind his guidelines he set for His children. We've had a taste of struggle and sadness so far and I'll tell you this man is the embodiment of strength and I couldn't be more honored to call him my husband.
