Happy Birthday, Grandma.

A gentle look, an honest heart, a beautiful voice, and a sweet sweet love. My grandma has exhibited these qualities more consistently and contagiously than anyone I've ever come across. My Grandma is sassy, she is loving, and she is so so kind, but above all else she exudes Christ's love. 

There are few people in this world who shows Jesus' love with just a look and my grandmother is one of those people. When you meet someone like that, you learn quickly that you can never learn enough from them. I listen to every and any piece of advice, any story, and every recipe I can possibly get out of her. I learned how to make a mean pot roast and how to execute the world's best gravy from her and my mother and of course I have learned the famous Grandma's Pancakes which are a usual in our home.

I could go on and on about my Grandma. I could talk about how she cared for her parents every moment no matter how tired she must have been until their very last breath or how she cared for my Grandpa with such an intense and yet intimately gentle love until his. Or I could talk about how I have never in my life heard her say one unkind thing about anyone or I could talk about how she wants nothing more than everyone to just get along or I could talk about how she is truly the most unselfish and generous person I know. But I'll just sum it up by saying if you know my Grandma, you know all this to be true and so much more. 

Grandma, I wish I could truly explain how much you truly mean to me and how incredibly grateful I am and always have been to have you as my Grandma and role model. I have never seen grace or understanding so beautifully shown in every word and action, like you do. I have never seen such kindness and love more freely given to every person no matter their differences, like you give. From the little mischievous heart-breaker you were as a youngin, to the loving daughter, wife, mother, and lucky for me, Grandmother, that you have always been, you inspire me.

Thank you, Grandma for being the greatest example in every meaning of the word. I love you times a million and I hope you have the greatest birthday yet.
