Do you use mobility aids?

My walker (affectionately named Didi) has been a LIFE SAVER the last few weeks through recovery. Thankfully, I've regained a lot of strength and am only needing to use her right after I shower or when I'm having an extra weak day (like today when I was quilting )

I've also used a shower chair religiously for a few years now. It's funny to me that it took me so long to bite the bullet with my aids. Life is made easier and my energy lasts longer when I don't stubbornly and stupidly spend it standing after a shower or pushing myself when I'm just plain old unwell. If you're a spoonie and have been debating on whether to get a walker, shower chair or even use a wheelchair, just DO IT. There's no point in making things harder than they are for ourselves just because we want to prove something to ourselves.  Superdedooper thankful for my aids and for the progress I've made in putting my well being above my pride. One step, one sit, or one stride at a time!
