A Seated Shower in a Flare
I've done more than I have in a LONG time the last week. I got to see some extended family (which was much more driving than I typically do), spend the weekend with my family in some nice cool weather, and while we spent most of yesterday in bed, I was surprised by how well I was doing with all things considered. And then I woke up today. LOL. I am in a pretty intense flare - I know I had it coming, but sheesh! I sure thought I was getting by with just a minimal flare.
Boy, was I wrong.
I *tried* to take a seated shower and ended up fainting (safely).
Fainting is never fun, but I do have to say there's something sacred to me about the moments following an episode. I have no other choice but to be still and rest while I wait for my vision and wits to return. Don't get me wrong, it can be scary, but now this weird limbo has become a safe space with a strange amount of Peace and I think that's really just a special gift from God. Life doesn't always look the way we want it or pan out the way we plan, but He's with us through it all and makes scary things just a wee bit less scary.
